Painter and Printmaker
The landscape has always been an inspiration for my work, and in my final year at the Glasgow School of Art I spent the majority of my time in the etching studio working on a series of prints detailing 45 individual Scottish saplings and their projected growth. Looking towards the future of our landscape is a huge consideration in my work, observing both the beauty and fragility of the environment around us. Working largely with oil on paper, a variety of mark-making techniques are explored through small intricate brushstrokes and large gestural movements. All of the work on my site is available for digital print, and if you wish to commission a personal piece please feel free to contact me.
Hundreds of ancient woods are threatened by development. Trees are an irreplaceable, valuable asset in reversing the damages caused by human effect on the environment. In an attempt to reverse these damages the Woodland Trust is a wonderful organisation tackling a climate fightback, aiming to plant 50 million more trees in the ground and protecting areas of vulnerable woodland. 10% of my profits go to this vital organisation and if you are interested in learning more click here
